By the time you get to roughly 25% lung capacity you can safely go down four arm strokes, and by the time you near 50% five strokes will be fine.

When you first dive in don't go down using more than three arm strokes or you will run out of air before you drift back to the surface and you will start drowning.Īs you gain lung capacity you can slowly increase the depth you dive to. When you dive down swim further down, since you will naturally drift back up to the surface over time, so it makes sense to dive down far enough that your drift up for more air will take roughly long enough for your 'air bar' to nearly run out. This will take a fair amount of time, so it's worth running through a few more tips here. Unless you've already been working on getting your lung capacity stats up you'll get a cutscene aimed at making you do so when you start this mission at Woozie's place, so head to any coastline and jump in.ĭive under the water (left-mouse button or Num-0 for PC users) and stay there until your 'breath' indicator bar shown at the top right almost runs out, come up again for air, wait for the bar to refill, then dive back down and repeat until your lung capacity stat gets to at least halfway.
